The softness and lightness of the poplin was evident in the way the wings stood out. It changed the proportion of her figure, with the wings on the shoulder drew the eyes to an empire waist line which one followed down the central placket to the ruffled hem.  It was light, easy to wear, didn't cling to the skin but wasnt bulky. It was interesting to see how she had so many variations of the same dress, almost becoming her personal style signature.
