About the Brand

ACQUIRE is a gallery of our intrigue, thoughts and experiments about materials, texture, colour and form. We begin with a feeling. For us that can be shaped through texture, which expands possibilities of medium, form and fit. In some cases rethinking the canvas or reshaping the body.

We become what we practice. And we chose to engage our curiousity, with daily experimentation of thought into form. Creating, becomes our chosen modality to exist. An endless process that is a purpose in and by itself. We produce an aesthetic balance to acquire.

Our founder began working in the Indian fashion industry at 16. At 34, she realised her work had been the mirror that showed her the brand she should eventually create. Her education, training and formalization was all professional. Her career evolved as she engaged in different aspects of brand management - from production, marketing, pr, sales - ending up as a luxury and brand consultant.

What would be something at once distinctive, useful and memorable? The innate ability to learn by doing, an intuitive aesthetic eye, and a lot of strategy and research led to the formation of ACQUIRE

MANIFESTO

Connection - we seek to engage with our patrons and clients in meaningful and intimate ways, design is our way of showing we understand them. We believe that understanding is like a garden, always growing, needing tending and pruning from time to time. We are always in a curious and liminal state of becoming and being.

Beauty - we want to be surrounded by and engage in beauty, which at once can be grounding and elevating. Beauty built with intelligence and mindfulness improves any moment you engage with it.

Process - We approach design, not through its medium, rather by the process.
It is a practice, service and state. One that we need to be in everyday. What we create is symbolic of the process.
The outcomes of which are felt, sensed, tactile and are both for the wearer or onlooker.
