The velvet had been retextured - it was now an expanse of the tops of celosia flowers The pants looked a little small for me, but as I put them on, the fabric stretched easily to accommodate my legs. It was then that I realised the texture was a kind of smocking that I was experiencing for the first time. It stretched so readily, yet held its form around my skin. It was like wearing a second new skin
